Honey Pig- Best $$ for BBQ

Honey Pig (Gooldaegee) Restaurant
7220 Columbia Pike
Annandale, VA 22003

The best thing about this place, besides their unbelievable prices is their hours! They are essentially 24/7  (or maybe it was cuz some old korean dudes were still drinking at 6:30 AM when I was driving thru and stopped in for a huge korean BBQ breakfast). The server looked at me kinda funny because the usualy korean breakfast is light and simple (rice and soup) and here I am asking them to bring on the meat!

First of all, these are probably the lowest prices  you will ever see for korean BBQ and the meat is FRESH FRESH FRESH! I always get the bulgogi and galbi here (you can never go wrong, and for these prices! the bulgogi platter was like $8 and the galbi platter was $14 and you get nice big portions), and if we’re feeling extra ambitious, we’ll go for the pork too (be sure to specify the right cut. thin or thick, we made the mistake once of ordering thick cut and it felt like I was chewing on fat (I probably was). the thin cut is solid)

this is the bulgogi, grilling nicely (beware, don’t wear nice clothes here. because you will smell this meal for the rest of that clothes’s life)

This place is by far the most popular place ‘amongst’ Korean people in the neighborhood, especially between 9pm and 3am. Its music (usually Korean club music) and the atmosphere reminds them of back home and I’m sure that’s what the staff is targeting too. Other BBQ places nearby has all-you-can-eat BBQ for $10 after 10pm to counter this place but it hasn’t really succeeded yet. The only negative for this place is that, it’s too much Korea. I can’t really bring my non-Korean friends here because they find this place extremely rude and odd for whatever reason. But I agree that this is the best value BBQ restaurant in the area.
