The Sugar House in New Orleans

The Sugar House
315 Julia St.
New Orleans, LA

I’m not sure why yelp has listed this place as closed. I don’t know why this is listed as closed on yelp because it is very much OPEN. That being said, it is a delightful, big joint in the Embassy Hotel in the CBD. Their menu isn’t vast, but the location is convenient enough for hotel-goers. The free garlic bread was delicious and crispy. The fettucine alfredo was a thick creamy concoction. The ribs were juicy and delicious with cajun fries. Then we had the dessert sampler with red velvet cake, banana cheesecake and bourbon pecan pie. the pecan pie was heavenly! the red velvet cake was a little dry and the banana cheesecake was very rich and good! everyone should check this place out. I’m so sad that there weren’t very many people here.

I'm a food aficionado with an interest in photography. Most of my restaurants will be in New Orleans as I will be here over the next few years. Every now and then you will see a post from Boston or Philadelphia too!
