RECIPE: Mom’s recipe for the common cold remedy

I think the amount of each ingredient depends on the eye of the beholder. I will list the ingredients and you can determine how much of each you would like

1 Korean pear sliced up
1 sprig of green onions (just the white roots)
as many orange peel skins as you have
slices of fresh ginger
1 stick of cinnamon
as many dried dates as you feel

Let this boil on the stove top for 2-3 hours. When its done, pour it thru a collander and collect the liquid. Pour into a regular mug and add raw cactus honey (to make it edible) and drink as many cups as it takes to get over your cold. As a western-trained health professional, I don’t think this tea has any particular healing powers but it does taste good (once you’ve added honey) and it’s soothing for a throat sore from coughing.
